Baby cards

Just before Christmas, two of my friends had babies (Congratulations Greg & Kerelyn on little Sarah & congratulations Jason & Kim on little Ryan!) & I had seen this style of card a while ago on stampin' connection (a website for SU demonstrators) but I have also seen them on different blogs so I'm not sure who first came up with the idea but this is my version of it!
Stamps: Punches Three (retired)
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue
Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue
Accessories: wide oval, 1 3/8" circle, scallop circle punches, dimensionals

I came across this cute little pram yesterday on Lorri's blog & though I just have to try it! Its not quite the type of thing that will go through the post very well so I'll just have to wait for someone locally to have a bubs!!!

Paper: Whisper White & Bashful Blue
Accessories: Big Shot, scallop circle die, perfect polka dot embossing folder, timeless type junior alphabet sizzlit die, scallop circle, 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circle punches, bashful blue 1/4" grosgrain ribbon, brad, crochet cotton, dimensionals.
This was really quick & simple to make- and the perfect size for a gift card to fit!

Ive been wanting to try out my scallop circle die since I got it last month & I think this was the first time I had used it to actually make something! I didn't have any buttons in my stash that matched the blue so I used the button die in the timeless type abc set- that set is very handy!!

Greenhouse Gala

When I first saw this paper in the catalogue I wasn't too fussed about it but since I saw it in person I just LOVE it! It is my new favorite DSP at the moment!! And it has given me a chance to use the new pear pizzazz colour which I haven't really used yet.
I purchased Becky Roberts 2010 12 days of Christmas tutorial & made up the stationary box from it (I had to re size it to fit our standard size envelopes).
I made this for my down line Leanne, I had been meaning to give her something for the last couple of months & hopefully this was worth the wait!

Stamp set: Friends Never Fade (w 121522 $31.95, c 120618 $25.95)
Ink: chocolate chip, baja breeze
Paper: Greenhouse Gala DSP, pear pizzazz, baja breeze, chocolate chip, whisper white
Accessories: scallop edge punch, pear pizzazz 1/2" stitched poly ribbon, 1/4" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon (retired), dimensionals

I made another little card set for Erika's day care teacher, this one holds 4 little love notes & envelopes. I got the pattern for the box from Becky- what can I say I just love her tutorials, they are fantastic!
Stamp Sets: Friends Never Fade (w121522 $31.95, c120618 $25.95), Teeny Tiny Sentiments (w119185 $62.95, c120024 $46.95), Tiny Tags (w119187 $38.95, c118592 $28.95)
Ink: chocolate chip, pumpkin pie
Paper: Greenhouse Gala DSP, daffodil delight, pumpkin pie, whisper white
Accessories: 1/4"whisper white grosgrain ribbon, jewelry tag punch

The last one I made was for my mum for all the things she does for me!

This is another of Becky's boxes! I stamped little phrases on the cards in chocolate chip but on two of them in particular its quite hard to read them :o(
Stamp sets: Friends Never Fade & Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink: chocolate chip
Paper: Greenhouse Gala DSP, pear pizzazz, chocolate chip, baja breeze, window sheets
Accessories: Big Shot, perfect polka dots textured impressions folder, 1/4" whisper white grosgrain ribbon, sticky strip, chocolate

I put both Leanne's & mums in a bag just like this- I distressed the edges of the DSP, pear pizzazz & chocolate chip & tied the bag together with the 1/2 stitched poly ribbon.

Reindeer Food!

Since this was Erika's 1st year at day care, she wanted to do something special for her friends! I had seen these on a few different blogs & thought this would be something fun for us to make together.
I got the wording off Chic n Scratch & printed it straight onto very vanilla card stock.
We had quite the production line going- after I had stamped the image & cut them out with the circle punch, I put the ruby red card into the big shot & Erika turned the handle, I scored the top notes & she folded them, I punched out the scallop circles & she glued the stamped circle onto them & then stuck the nose on! When it came to putting the mix together I poured it into the bag & Erika shook them! We stapled everything together & covered up the staples with the wording on the back & the picture on the front.

Stamps: I'm sorry but the stamp isn't a Stampin' Up! stamp- its Stamp It's "Reindeer's-a-ringing", I've had it for years & I think it is so cute! (I masked off the end one- there is actually a line of reindeer on this stamp)
Ink: chocolate chip
Paper: very vanilla, chocolate chip, ruby red (retired)
Accessories: Big Shot, top note die, 1 3/8 circle punch, scallop circle punch, small cellophane bag, kaiser red pearls, rolled oats & 100s & 1000s

Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope everyone has had a very merry Christmas with family & friends. We had a great Christmas, Cooper seemed to enjoy his first Christmas & Erika couldn't wait for Santa to arrive!
This year I made quite a few pressies, I couldn't put them up before now just in case they looked! :o)

The 1st one is a stationary box for my niece Eunice. I used one of Becky Roberts designs but changed it to suit our size envelopes (which I have to do every time)
There is no stamping on any of these! The note pad & pen are attached with velcro so you can easily take them out to write with them. Its a bit hard to tell but I have inserted matching DSP into the pen so it all matches :o)

Paper: Play Date DSP, whisper white, old olive, tempting turquoise, so saffron, real red, crumb cake & chocolate chip card stock
Accessories: Big shot, timeless type junior alphabet sizzlit die, 1 3/8 circle, scallop circle, XL large oval, scallop oval & large oval punches, 2 step owl punch, 2 step bird punch, 5/8 chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon (retired), pen, note pad, velcro dots, sticky strip, dimensionals

For Toni cont.

I really like having a blog, it's come in very handy! My sister asked if I could make a bag for her (you may have seen some pictures earlier in the week), I made two bags out of the Woodland Walk DSP- one using garden green & the other using crumb cake. Toni chose the garden green so it was the same as the bag I had made for my mum for her birthday. But I also made up some little tags for the pocket & extra cards at her request!
So here is the finished bag.
Paper: "Woodland Walk" DSP, Garden Green & Very Vanilla card stock,
Accessories: Flower Fusion sizzlit die, Big Shot, Square punches, silver brads, sticky strip

The contents are:
Stamps: "To & From Tag" stamp set (pg 161 $12.95), "Growing Green" (pg 78 w$38.95, c$29.95), "A Word for You" (pg 110 w$38.95, c$29.95)
Paper:Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Garden Green, Chocolate Chip card stock, Woodland Walk DSP
Inks: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Flower Fusion, Little Leaves & Lots of Tags sizzlit die, Big Shot, silver brads, Very Vanilla taffeta ribbon, tag punch, scallop edge punch, crop-a-dile

I stamped the fern image in crumb cake onto very vanilla card then stamped the To & From tag stamp in black on top then I glued that onto garden green card stock & punched the tag out. Using the crop-a-dile I punched a hole in the top & threaded the ribbon through

These are the same as the ones I made for my mum

These are the cards that we made at the new catalogue launch workshop.
Stamps: "A Word for You" (pg 110 w$38.95, c$29.95), "Growing Green" (pg 78 w$38.95, c$29.95)
Ink: Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip
Paper; Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Garden Green & Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Flower Fusion, Lots of Tags, Little Leaves sizzlit dies, Big Shot, silver brad, stamp-a-ma-jig, mini glue dots

Toni, if you would like me to add or change anything just let me know otherwise this is ready to go!!

For Toni!

Here are the bags for you to choose from- the crumb cake one is a bit drab!I should have made it in vanilla & put the buckles in the crumb cake :o). Mum has my stamp set at the moment so I'm not sure when I'll see her next to get it back to make the actual cards but it will be in time for her to take this down to you!
Woodland Walk DSP, Crumb Cake, Garden Green & Very Vanilla card stock.
Floral fusion sizzlit, big shot, silver brads

I thought I'd try these tags while I wait for the stamp. (To & from tag pg 161) The one on the left has very vanilla taffeta ribbon & basic black ink & the one on the right has crochet cotton & garden green ink- which one do you like better?

Once they are in the pocket all you can see is the ribbon, I can hand cut the tags if you would like them a little bigger?
These are the mini cards from the new catalogue launch, would you like me to do some of these?
Growing Green stamp set pg 78 w $38.95, c $29.95.
Choc chip, crumb cake, very vanilla & garden green card stock.
Chocolate chip & crumb cake ink.
Floral fusion, little leaves & lots of tags sizzlit die, big shot, silver brad

I'll try to give you a call this afternoon or tonight to see what you want me to do!
Talk to you then

Just a reminder that the second stamp-a-stack is on this Thursday from 10am-2pm & Sunday from 1-5pm. Its not too late if you want to come just let me know ASAP (must be by Wednesday afternoon at the latest)

More bags!

I had the best day today- it started off with Kathy coming over this morning to make a handbag & then lunch with Bek!
Here is a pic of Kathy's & my bags.
The pattern is another from Becky Roberts & her Tres Chic handbags. The vanilla & olive bag on the right is Kathy's & the cherry & vanilla one is mine. They are so cute!!!
The paper is from the Jolly Holiday DSP, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla & Old Olive.
The accessories needed are a 3/4" square punch, half backed pearls & a velcro dot.

Gift Card Purse

I've seen these on different sites & have wanted to try one ever since I got the top note die. I finally got around to making one this arvo, it took longer than I thought! I used box #2 as a guide for the height & length but I narrowed it up a little as I just wanted to hold a couple of gift cards.

Here's my little model again holding the purse!

Not the best angle for the flash!

This is what it looks like without the glare from the flash! I used the faux alligator skin technique on it- its so easy to do! (and effective)

I'm not the best at taking pictures one handed sorry it's a bit blurry! :o)

Here's what I used to make it:
Inks: Versa Mark ink pad
Card: Melon Mambo
Accessories: Top Note die, Big Shot, Clear embossing powder, bone folder, heat gun, filigree brad, 1 1/16 punch, velcro, crop-a-dile, jumbo eyelet & melon mambo ribbon (retired) & sticky strip.

Stamp-a-Stack Workshop

Today I cut out & scored all the pieces for this weeks workshop- this is what 80 cards looks like!
I was working on these today while Cooper was asleep & Erika was at Day Care. I was almost finished I just had to cut the DSP & had it sitting on top of the cutter while I was feeding Cooper when Doug brought Erika home & she thought she would help by cutting the paper for me- straight down the middle thru 2 sheets! I was able to get everything cut out the right size -I'm short just 1 piece (its a good thing mum has a spare sheet)!
10 kits for each design!
And next Monday I'll do it all again with next weeks kits!
It's not too late if you would like to come to either Thursdays or Sundays workshops, just let me know by Wednesday morning for catering numbers & so I can make another kit

More boxes!

Here are some more little gift packaging ideas!
I got the pattern for the box on the left from Becky Roberts she has some fantastic tutorials & they are so easy to make! The middle box is the right size to hold little love notes & the one on the right uses the top note die & big shot (again!)

This picture isn't the best for showing the details on the blue & white box.
Ive embossed the Christmas tree with glitter & clear embossing powder to make it sparkle & then added some rhinestones to the tree & stamped snowflakes for the background.
Stamp sets: Delightful Decorations & Snow Swirled
Inks: Old Olive, Marina Mist, VersaMark
Paper: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Very Vanilla & Whisper White card stock & Jolly Holiday DSP
Accessories: Ornament punch, Old Olive satin ribbon, Rhinestones, Top Note die, Big Shot, Clear embossing powder, Dazzling diamonds glitter

Here is my little helper modeling a little suitcase that I made from one of Becky Roberts patterns!
You cant tell but on the handle is a little tag that says hello & the handle has 2 little brads holding it in place. (This would hold a gift card or something small like jewellery)
Stamp sets: Tiny Tags
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Real Red card stock & Summer Picnic DSP (retired)
Accessories: Silver brads, jewellery tag punch, crochet cotton

Birthday Bakery

I've been wanting to use this stamp set from the minute I saw the new catalogue, I think it is so cute!
The only way for you to get this set is by hosting a workshop of at least $300 then you can have this set for free!
You can't really tell in this pic but I embossed the image & then using my blender pen coloured the image with a mix of the soft subtles inks & I used Going Gray (retired) for the stands.
The card stock is Pretty in Pink, Wild Wasabi & Rose Red.

Baby Shower Gift

One of my old work friends is expecting her first bubs at the end of the year so I put together this nappy cake! I've always wanted to try one of these- I've seen pictures of them on notice boards & in mags & thought that they looked easy & they are (they take more nappies than you would think!!)
I've put little bottles of lotions etc around it & Erika picked out the little lamb & the rattle in the shops & in the middle holding it together is a baby bottle! Since Kim & Jason don't know what they are having (or arn't telling!) I used a little bit of purple & certainly celery ribbon (I love those two colours together!) & for the card I used one of last years hostess stamps (punches three) & stamped the bundle of joy in cc & tied a little bit of white taffeta ribbon to the card & made the envelope using my big shot & the exclusive SU scallop envelope die in a discontinued DSP in cc to match it all together!

I'm still here!

Sorry it's been a while since I've posted something but I have been busy crafting! The first pic is mums birthday card- the design is from Michelle Zindorf, I came across her blog via the demonstrator website the other week & just fell in love with her designs & I just had to try this one out!
The second card for today is Dougs birthday card- I helped Erika make him one but he still wanted one from me so I finally got around to it (only a couple of weeks late) & Doug loved his card!!
I love the new versa marker- I was able to emboss the tools after I coloured them in! And the crop-a-dile is great, it was the 1st time I've used it for eyelets.

Ive also been working out my Christmas stamp -a- stack designs, I cant believe its already October! I've got a few cute Christmas workshop ideas as well so I'll work out my dates & let everyone know soon.

Mums birthday present!

Here are some pictures of the pressie i made for my mum, her birthday is next month & I actually have her present already done!!! (unlike the scrapbook pages I am still yet to do for their 40th wedding anniversary which was last year!!!)
I got the pattern from Chiaki Haversick & have changed the buckle style, the buckles took the longest as I had to use my old Carl punches & I'm so used to the Stampin' Up! style of punch, but I think it was worth it!
The bag holds 6 little note cards with envelopes.
I used the new woodland walk designer papers (I love this set), very vanilla & garden green card stock.
I used the floral fusion sizzlit die & the big shot to make the flowers which I crumpled up & secured them with a brad (there are 19 brads on this bag :o) ), I used the scallop edge punch on the cards & put a piece of matching dsp on top. I haven't stamped at all, I'm hoping that Mum will be able to use these for anything.

Friends card

Here is one of the cards that we made at the catalogue launch last weekend, a big thank you to those that came, I had a great time crafting with you all!
The colours are basic black, wild wasabi & elegant eggplant.
I used the Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions folder & the Big Shot.
I stamped "Friends" from the "Tiny Tags" (pg 93- $38.95w, $28.95c) set in wild wasabi & punched it out using the jewellery tag punch. I tied it onto my organza bow using some crochet cotton.
